Life Story for Robert W. "Bob" Orr

Robert W. "Bob" Orr
SCHOOL TRUSTEE, Trillium Lakelands District School Board, Wards 2,3 & 6.
Robert (Bob) Orr, 71 years of age, has entered peacefully into the Promised Land where he will never again experience earthly pain. Survived by his wife Carol of thirty-seven years, he will be remembered and missed forever. He was the very best father and role model to his daughter Patti Bailey and his son Christopher Orr, and Patricia and Doug Vaughan. Daughter-in-law Katherine. They were blessed with his stability and guidance and love for them all. Loving grandfather to grandsons Jacob and Joshua Orr and Opa to Austin Vaughan. Remembered and loved by his sister Marion Orr, brother in law Bob and Judith Ross and Deborah and Vic Attas. Uncle to Bobby Ross and his wife Pau and great uncle to Izabella Ross (Las Vegas) and Matthew Ross and Tsha, Toronto. He was indebted to the loyalty of his good friends, Theresa and Norman Sheppard, Ada Handley, Brian Causton and Audrey and Charlie Thrasher throughout his illness. Bob held the role of School Trustee in the city of Toronto for thirteen years and for the past seven years he has Past Chair and Trustee representing Wards 2,3 and 6 for the Trillium Lakelands School Board. His main concern was always for the students in his schools and their futures. He was proud of his Trusteeship and also of the knowledge that the School Board was operated by dedicated men and women who in every aspect had the same concerns as he did. His contribution will be remembered by all who knew him. The family of Mr. Orr will receive friends at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 8 Princes' St. West, Fenelon Falls on Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral service from FENELON FALLS UNITED CHURCH, 123 Colborne St, Fenelon Falls on Monday November 5, 2007 at 11 a.m. Interment at Burnt River Cemetery.
