Karleen Marian Ferguson (nee: MacInnes)
(Retired Teacher, Member of the Women's Institute, Life Member of the UCW)

Karleen Ferguson of Cameron, in her 77th year. After a courageous battle with cancer, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 23, 2015 at Adelaide Place - Lindsay, surrounded by the love of her family. Beloved wife of Kenneth Ferguson for 49 years. Dedicated to her community, church and her family, Karleen's greatest devotion and pride was in raising her four children, and in the joy of being a grandmother. Forever loved and missed by her children: Alan Ferguson (Karen Peregrine) of Queensville; Jennifer (Tim Teefy) of Lindsay; Joan (Andrew Larmer) of Millbrook; and Ian Ferguson of Mount Albert. Karleen cherished every moment she had with her eight grandchildren: Cameron & Stephanie Ferguson; Charleigh, Kobe, Angus and Zebediah Teefy; and Avery & Emersyn Larmer. Dear sister-in-law of Gordon & Nancy Ferguson of Cameron, Catherine & Bill Campbell of Lindsay, and Clarke Miller of London. Lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Adelaide Place, for providing Mom with such wonderful and compassionate care; to the staff at Durham Region Cancer Centre and to Dr. Gregory Lo, Dr. Bruce Allin, and Dr. Maria Cescon. We would also like to thank Donna, a Hospice volunteer who visited Mom every week for the last two-and-a-half years, providing her with immeasurable friendship and comfort as she faced the challenges of cancer. A gathering of friends and family will take place at Fenelon Falls United Church (Lower Hall), 123 Colborne St, Fenelon Falls on Saturday August 29, 2015 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Private family funeral and Interment. Memorial donations to Hospice Kawartha Lakes, Fenelon Falls United Church, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
