Condolences

Condolence From: Jon Harvey
Condolence: Norma, Linda and family.
My sincere condolences on the passing of Bob. I just got the news today. I, like many shared a few beers with Bob over the years and always found his advice and guidance to be very good. He was a good soldier, friend, father and husband. Bob will not be forgotten.

Condolence: Grandpa Wise was a one of a kind guy. His entertaining stories and his big laugh are what I remember most about him. When my Dad met Linda, I was not only lucky enough to have another person to love unconditionally, but also a new family. Linda joining our family meant that I had another uncle and aunt, two more cousins, and two more grandparents. Grandpa Wise started out as "Linda's Dad" and then became Mr. Wise, before finally becoming Grandpa Wise. He always made my brother and I feel so welcome and cared about. He will be so missed, by so many people, but I am so glad that he was able to be a part of my life. I wish I could be there to celebrate his life, but I am thinking about everyone today and tomorrow and sending you all lots of love and big hugs.

Condolence From: Capt(Ret) Jamie Burton
Condolence: May I offer my condolences at the passing of your Husband, father and my friend.
As a Junior Officer in an historically important Regiment like the GGHG, myself and my friends survived on people like Bob. So many times he save us from utter embarrassment and disgrace.Always with a smile, a quiet word and other support. He was one of the great military mentors.
I am happy to have been part of his life in The Regiment.
Linda, the few times we met at Riding or events, were always like family. I wish you peace and calm in the days ahead.I am sure the memories and stories will be all good, going forward
See you Saturday. It is well worth the drive, and the time to remember

Condolence: Norma and Linda, so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. My memories don't go back as far as some of the others but I do remember fondly our times at the Riding Club in the 90s and early 2000's. You and Bob are in my prayers.

Condolence: Our thoughts go back to the early 60's when Bob and Norma welcomed us to the GGHG riding club. He was so supportive of the regiment and passed this passion on to all those he met including us. He was an excellent instructor at the regimental level and I had the honour to work with him in stores for a number of years. He was such a great asset to the GGHG and will be missed. Our condolences to his family.

Condolence From: Linda & David Mezzabotta
Condolence: Sgt. Maj Bob: it was a pleasure to have had the joy of your company and the wealth of your experience. You were one of the few Sr. NCO's who genuinely watch over your soldiers. You waved the GGHG flag proudly whether it was in the field or in the mess...you were NULLI SECUNDUS. You were the quintessential RQ..

Ours sincerest condolences to Norma, Linda , Lorne and families. We are saddened at his passing. May he rest in peace.
