The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Erma Hanna can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Aunt Erma was my mentor. She has guided my life since I was a small child, who was given a special visit every summer holiday to her home for a week or two. The advice, the love, the support and sometimes the 'heck' I got from her, was always backed up with a hug, kiss and love. Aunt Erma was always proud of all her family and we spent many hours together enjoying memories of recent and past events. Her heart was the largest I have ever known and her wisdom simply awed me. I miss the years of picking berries and canning fruit, veggies and anything else that could feed the family as well as learning all the methods to do these things from her. I still use some of her recipes although they don't taste the same as hers did. I truly loved this beautiful special lady and I know that God has a special place for her with his other lambs in heaven.

My son David, was always entranced by Aunt Erma and was so fortunate to have had many special times with her and sends his deep sympathies to all our cousins.

My Sister Donna (Green) is in Mexico. She lit a candle for Aunt Erma the other day and sends her condolences along as well.

God be with you I love you Cousin Arlene xo

Condolence: Got the sad news yesterday that i lost my gramma, living to an amazing 94. It's a day we knew was gonna happen very soon but she was so strong and never giving up that we figured she'd just end up out living us all! What an absolute privilege to have had such a loving woman in my life but more honoured that she was family, my gramma. I'm a pretty lucky guy to be able to say that. One of my fondest memories is from when I was a little boy. Gramma would ask me for a kiss, a "sweet" kiss as they became known between us. I'd walk to her and my grampa's home to and from school and look forward to peeking into the cookie tins to see what gramma had baked. Seemed there was always something new in there. Of course I'd sneak a few and realized later everyone from our big family was doing the same. ;) no wonder she had to keep baking new treats. As an adult my bond with her stayed strong even though our visits were not as frequent. Having our gab sessions over coffee and some of her famous homemade treats made us laugh and talk for hours it seemed. Well, I can go on and on but what matters most is that my love for her will never ever go away. Our family has lost a true hero to all of us and for that we are sad but also so blessed and so happy to have had our own special moments with Erma Hanna, my gramma. One more sweet kiss for u Gramma

Condolence: To My Eastern Cousins, It is with great sadness I write this. The few times I had the pleasure of being in your Mum's company or having a phone conversation with her was always very special. Her sense of humour, her matter of fact approach to life and her kindness will always be remembered. May she rest in peace and be forever reunited with your Dad. Sending my sincere condolences to you all. Love Susan and family

Condolence: We didn't get to know Aunt Erma well (we live in Washington state), but had heard happy stories of visits from Dad (passed in May 2015) and Mom (passed in 2002) through the years.

My thoughts, prayers and love go out to you and all your family.
