Passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Lindsay Ontario, on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in her 89th year. Born in Fenelon Falls the beloved daughter of the late Harry and Mary Duggan. Josephine graduated from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Peterborough, Ontario in 1949. She became the Pediatric Head Nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Peterborough, Ontario. Upon moving to Fenelon Falls she continued her nursing career as a RN at the Lindsay Hospital for more than 25 years until her retirement in 1987. Josephine is the dear sister of Dan Duggan of Salmon Arm, B.C., Patricia Koenig of London, Ontario and Elaine Connolly of Red Deer, Alberta. Sister-in-law to Marguerite Duggan of Calgary, Alberta and Delores Duggan of Warren, Michigan. Josephine was pre-deceased by brothers John, Patrick, Henry, Bill, and Charles; sisters Marie, Helen, and Elizabeth Duggan and Betty Holliday; brother-in-law Patrick Connolly, Ed Koenig and Bill Holliday. Josephine will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and her many great-nieces and nephews. A private family viewing will be held at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & TRIBUTE CENTRE. The family of Josephine Duggan will receive friends at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 41 John St, Fenelon Falls on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment later at St. Aloysius Cemetery.
