Sheehey, Eric Wayne

Our beloved Eric "Zeke" passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland, Ontario. He was the son of the late Violet and Hugh Sheehey. Much loved father of Darryl Wayne. Devoted and loved brother and brother-in-law of Gloria and Richard Hutchison, the late Greg (2015) and Debbie Sheehey, Glen Sheehey and Sam and Caroline Sheehey. A cherished uncle of Serena and Geoff McDermid, Chad Sheehey, Diane Sheehey, Andrew and Melinda Hutchison, Ashley Sheehey, Scott and Jade Sheehey. A proud great-uncle of Matthew and Candace McDermid and tender great-uncle of babies, Alliyah Sheehey and Alder Eloise Hutchison. Fondly remembered by Lorraine Lawrence and family. Eric enjoyed his early years in Burnt River, Ontario. He was devoted to his many friends there and had many special times reminiscing with visits and phone calls to each of them, especially his hockey buddies, 'Flash' Joe Handley and 'Barney' Brian Campbell. Eric was a long time employee of Bell Canada in Toronto where he earned many promotions and acquired numerous life-long friends. Eric was always willing to lend a helping hand and gave advice for any projects when requested. He lived a life that touched the hearts of many with kindness, goodness and warmth. Special thanks to each of Eric's neighbours on Tiny Beaches Road on Georgian Bay, for their comfort. Eric held great respect for each of his neighbours and friends. Grateful 'Thanks' is extended to Eric's many Doctors and Nurses who medically and affectionately cared for him throughout his illness. The family of Eric Sheehey will receive extended family and friends at the JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & TRIBUTE CENTRE, 8 Princes' St. W., Fenelon Falls, on Friday, December 9th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Burnt River Cemetery.
