Hardy, Marjorie Ellen
April 17, 1960 (Easter Sunday) - April 6, 2017

Marjorie Hardy (nee Kirkpatrick) passed away peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, after a hard fought battle against cancer. Beloved wife of Steve Hardy of Cameron. Dearest daughter of Laurie (Sterling Frizzell) and Thomas (Marian Siminski). She will be greatly missed by her siblings, Tom (Xuemei Li), Kathleen (Ben Lamarche), Shona (Dino Del Grosso) and her sister-in-law, Nancy Kirkpatrick. Also mourning her loss will be her nieces and nephews, Tom & Kevin Kirkpatrick, Mackenzie & Madison Lamarche, Toni, Michael, Donato and Chase Del Grosso and her many cousins; the Eccelstones, Fergusons, Taylors, Olmsteads and Gallaghers. She will also be missed by Steve's mother Betty Hardy and his extended family.

Margie graduated from Queen's University and received her degree in Jazz Performance in Texas. She spent many years teaching music and developing special programs at schools in York Region District School Board. Marjorie spent many summers at Camp Oconto as a counselor and was affectionately known as "Skip". Margie very creative and loved decorating, designing, sewing and entertaining. Marjorie married Steve in 2009 and after retirement spent time doing what she loved at their home, Hardy Country Farm.

Our sincere thanks for the excellent care Marjorie received at Toronto Western, Princess Margaret and Ross Memorial Hospitals during her battle with Glioblastoma. Also thanks to the wonderful cousins, family and friends for their support which helped to make this journey more comfortable for Margie. A special thank you to Marjorie's cousin, Dr. Sarah Ferguson, her husband Paul McCracken, Anna and Katie for their love, support and hospitality.

She was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed. A celebration of Margie's life will take place at the Hardy Country Farm later in the summer. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

Rest in Peace by Bright Star!
