Roy John  Erwin
Erwin, Roy John -- Passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on Dec. 11, 2010 at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay after a hard-fought battle with kidney disease and cancer. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mona (née Brown). Much loved father of Tom (Diane) of Guelph and Stephen (Barbara) of Richmond Hill. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Brandon (Amber), Norman (Danyelle), Amanda and Victoria, and by his great-granddaughter, Cecily. Son of the late Irene and John Erwin and son-in-law of the late William Brown. Survived by mother-in-law, Gladys Brown. Dear brother to Ellen (Murray), Jack and Jane (Bill). Predeceased by siblings Tom, Margaret, Bernard, George and Dorothy. Roy grew up in Toronto and was a loyal employee for 40 years of the T. Eaton Co. Ltd. until his retirement in 1988. Roy and Mona have spent the last 15 years residing in Coboconk, Ontario. Friends may call at the JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & TRIBUTE CENTRE, 8 Princes’ St. W., Fenelon Falls on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m., and on Wednesday December 15, 2010 from 10 a.m. until time of service in the chapel at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ross Memorial Hospital Dialysis Unit.
