Obituary for Linda Susan How (Krayewski)
June 23, 1951- July 10, 2018
Born and raised in Thorold, Ontario, Linda always enjoyed reconnecting with her home and family in the area. Daughter of Frank and Jennie Krayewski (both deceased), sister to Fran Krayewski of Oakville, Ontario. Linda is survived by daughter Jessie Wilson and husband Scott Wilson of Forest, Ontario and their two children AJ and Drew. Linda was predeceased by Alan How, her husband and long time best friend who passed in 2010. She will be sorely missed her in-laws Bernie and Edith Schofield of Fenelon Falls, Ontario and her "adopted family" Jackie Ready of Toronto, Ontario and Brenda and Ted Shaw of Oakville, Ontario.
Linda and Alan were partners both in life and in work. Working in advertising and later in real estate Linda enjoyed every aspect of her life in the Kawartha Region. Linda's great joy was her two grandchildren AJ (Alan James; 9) and Drew (6) who she loved "more than all the jellybeans in the world". Linda loved her family and friends, a big glass of white wine, sitting by the water, gardening and a wide range of music. Linda was actively involved in her community and loved attending Tai Chi, curling and recently started volunteering with Fenelon Grannies for Grannies.
Her year-long battle with cancer took a great toll on her energy and spirit, but her hope for recovery was ever present. The family would like to extend thanks to Community Care for providing excellent nursing to Linda and to the surgeons at Princess Margret Hospital in Toronto for their care and optimism. Also thank-you to the staff at Cancer Care in Peterborough for their professionalism and compassion.
By Linda's request cremation has taken place and a small private celebration of life will occur. In the mean time please raise a glass to Linda in her memory and tell your friends and family how much you love them.
