Jacqueline Lilian Nora Craig (Thomas)
Peacefully at Fenelon Court surrounded by her family on December 1, 2016. Jacqueline was born in 1923 in Billingham, Teeside, England, eldest child to Arnold and Lilian Thomas. During WWII, Jac enlisted in the WAAF and was stationed in York where she met and married Ted (RCAF, OPP) who predeceased her in 1996. Being a war bride, she came to Canada in 1946, living in Toronto, Beaverton, Essex and Scarborough during Ted's career in the OPP. They settled in Fenelon Falls in 1989. She is survived by her son Robert Craig and daughters Lori Griffin (John Griffin), Madeline Craig (William Turina). Also by her adored grandchildren Paul Griffin (Lisa Virtue) and Sara Craig (Nathan Virtue) and by her two very special great granddaughters, Danica Griffin and Stella Virtue. Loved and remembered by her family in England. A heartfelt thank you to the many PSW's who have cared for her the past few years and the entire staff, nurses, PSW's and residents at Fenelon Court who made her feel so welcome and cared for during her brief time there.
